Living with Contradictions and Complexity

We are living with some big-time contradictions these days. Here are two examples I’m encountering every day:

We’re self-isolating (“I feel lonely”), but finding ways to be and stay more connected (“We’re all in the same boat!”).

Walking my dog I cross the street when I see someone coming so we can keep proper distance (“Boo, sad, we’re all alone”), and yet I notice everyone is saying hello and having spontaneous chats when on a dog walk (“Yay, happy, serendipity and getting to know my neighbours.”).

When faced with conflicting advice, changing information and a whole heap of change all at the same time, it’s uncomfortable. And sometimes to get out of that discomfort quickly we may make premature decisions or conclusions rather than staying patient and riding it out.

In this short-ish video (it’s just over 4 minutes long), I share with you my thoughts about living with a bunch of contradictions and polarities, and offer few tips I think could be useful to you in navigating this whack-a-doodle world we all inhabit.

Second, if you want to connect about your own individual projects or challenges, feel free to book a virtual coffee with me. These conversations I’m having have been just over the top in terms of inspiration, connection and sharing.
